My musical journey began when I was in 3rd grade and my stepmother gave me a $5 transistor radio. This gift began my life long love of  music. I listened to many different radio stations, allowing myself to experience a variety of music. From 3rd to 8th grade, I had memorized over 1,000 songs by heart! My stepmother did occasionally get annoyed, since I would sing around the house – ALL THE TIME! 

Throughout my life, there have been obstacles that had my stepmother not given me that radio, I would never really have been exposed to music in the way that I was. My personal history includes  attending  boarding school,  military service and my career as a commercial appraiser. Without the kind gesture on my stepmother’s part, my access to music and the arts would have been very limited.  

My song development has always begun with an experience that serves as my inspiration - whether it be a city, a sitcom or  love. I’ve written countless songs over the last several decades, beginning with my first song at 16. Each one has a special place in my memory and heart.  I want people to be able to experience my music, with the hope it will inspire or rekindle a memory or experience that is special to each listener.
